Blue Jeans (PatrickReza Remix) - Lana Del Rey

I can honestly say that PatrickReza's remix of Lana Del Rey's "Blue Jeans" is one of my favorite songs I've heard in a while. It's extremely rare in a dubstep track that a beautiful, melodic vibe is maintained throughout the entire song, but PatrickReza pulls it off in this one. Also, the bass line gave me goosebumps the first time I listened to it. The 18-year-old producer from Los Angeles has only been producing for a couple years, and he clearly has tremendous potential. Beatz & Pieces Vol. 1 - Gramatik

If you enjoy instrumental hip-hop, trip-hop, or just soulful music, Gramatik may suite your fancy. The Slovenian producer has been involved in music from a young age, whether it be jazz and soul or electronic. Pretty Lights recently recognized Gramatik's knack for music production and signed him to his label, aptly named Pretty Lights Music, under which Gramatik released his most recent album, Beatz & Pieces Vol. 1. The entire album is stupendous in my opinion, but I plucked a couple of my favorites along with a couple that are not on the album to share with you lovely people. Viceroy has come out with a few big tunes lately. His remix of "Going Back To Cali" came out yesterday and has gotten an absurd amount of attention for its super-summery vibe (like all of Viceroy's stuff). The relatively new dubstep group known as Adventure Club released another single the other day by the name of "Do I See Color." The duo of Christian Srigley and Leighton James have taken off since their debut in early 2011, and a surprising number of their songs have topped music charts across the world. "Do I See Color" is no different—its catchy synth lines and wobbles make for a fantastic listening experience. Sæglópur (ENiGMA Dubz Remix) - Sigur Rós

Here's a remix of the Icelandic band Sigur Rós' "Sæglópur." ENiGMA Dubz did a great job of capturing the vibe of the original song and throwing a little bit of his own flare in as well. Also included is Mt Eden Dubstep's remix of the same song, which is quite different from the other. Enjoy!

How We Became Us (EP) - EWE

Some of you may be familiar with Louis La Roche, a producer from Norwich, England. Well EWE is a side project of Brett Ewels, the man behind Louis La Roche. I would have had no idea the two were the same person if it hadn't stated it on Louis' SoundCloud—the two respective styles are very different (possibly why EWE is just a side project for the time). Anyway, Louis La Roche posted a free download of EWE's EP How We Became Us on his SoundCloud. I'm also including an EWE remix of DJ Shadow's "Scale It Back." Enjoy!

Star Slinger

So the website was down for quite some time, but she's finally back up better than ever. To celebrate, this post features one of my new favorite producers. Star Slinger has been winning audiences over on tour all over Europe, and was recently named by The Guardian the "best new act of the year by miles." This 24-year-old from Manchester has mastered sampling old vinyls to create a really unique feel and sound in his music. He has only toured around Europe thus far in his career, and he had a US tour in the works, but it was cancelled sadly. I like way too much of his music to just post a couple, so there are seven songs included in this one. On an unrelated note, one of his followers on Twitter complained that "star slinger is going all mainstream just because of Juicy J (featured in "Chain Dumbin')," to which Star Slinger replied "Last time i checked under 6k followers wasnt mainstream." So apparently the man isn't mainstream. Sleepless (EP) - Flume

Sleepless is the title of Australian producer Flume's first EP. "Sleepless" is the first and most popular song on Sleepless, and for good reason. Flume is a 19-year-old whose passion for music production began when he got a music production program out of a box of cereal at the age of 13. This early exposure to production might explain his impressive knack for chopping, mixing, and altering samples with seamless ease. Regardless, it will not be long before you start seeing Flume's name all over blogs. Buy the EP on iTunes for a mere three dollars or check out his SoundCloud for some other free downloads. Le Nonsense

Today I had a (Facebook) chat with Italian producer Le Nonsense. From Milan, this 16-year-old prodigy with a "passion for French House and 80's Disco" has been producing nu-disco/French house/funk for well over a year now. His style is extremely mature for his age (it reminds me of some of Daft Punk's music), and his attention to detail is evident in the songs. Also, Le Nonsense creates completely individualized album artwork to accompany each song he releases, a very classy touch (each song downloaded below will have its accompanying album art).
