Relativity 2 EP - Lemâitre

Norwegian duo Lemâitre is back with its third EP. After record success and recognition for The Friendly Sound and Relativity 1, Lemâitre continued on the same path of psychedelic funk and smooth vocals. I love this EP for its unique sounds and refreshing beats. If you smell what Lemâitre is stepping in, support them by buying the EP on iTunes or checking more of their music out. Enjoy!

Hollywood (The Magician Remix) - RAC

A few days ago I posted Hollywood (feat. Penguin Prisons), RAC's first original production. Well now, Belgian producer and DJ The Magician (former member of Aeroplane) is back with a stellar remix of the original. Immediately noticeable is The Magician's addition of a bassy, driving synth line throughout nearly the entire song. Overall, it's a spectacular remix of a spectacular song, so enjoy.

With You (feat. Grovesnor) - Flight Facilities

The duo that brought you hit singles Foreign Language and Crave You is back with yet another hit single. Flight Facilities' newest release With You (featuring Grovesnor) has nearly been on repeat wherever I am for a couple days now. To keep it simple, this is one of the most interesting songs I've heard in a while. So many elements contribute to a remarkably Daft-Punkish sound that is rarely achieved in electronic music. Flight Facilities also released an animated video with the song that has Daft Punk's Interstella 5555 as an inspiration. Enjoy this parcel of excellence.

Hollywood (feat. Penguin Prison) - RAC

Many browsers of music blogs have heard of prominent Portland-based remixer Andre Anjos, or RAC (short for Remix Artist Collective), who has been ranked highly on The Hype Machine many a time over the past couple years. With well over 200 released remixes under his belt, it's clear that Anjos has the background necessary to produce his own material. So why hasn't he? Well, now he has. With the recent release of his very first original song, Hollywood, Anjos is on his way to becoming a notable name in the EDM production scene. With a catchy chorus and strong vocals from Penguin Prison's Chris Glover, Hollywood is a perfect debut for RAC. Check him out, and enjoy.

Kangaroo Court (Shook Remix) - Capital Cities

L.A.-based duo Capital Cities has seen significant recognition in the music blogosphere as of late. Their brilliantly catchy remix of Pink Floyd's Breathe with an added verse from Tupac was hot on the scene for a while. Now, the duo has enlisted the help of seasoned producer and remixer Shook for a funkified version of their single Kangaroo Court. Shook's remix leans toward an airy vibe with a universally enjoyable saxophone solo. Give it a listen, check out Capital Cities and Shook, and enjoy.

Obedear - Purity Ring

I'd never taken much notice of Canadian duo Purity Ring before hearing a rap remix of their single Lofticries. Well, Lofticries got international recognition for its distinctive vibe and catchiness, and so has Obedear. Purity Ring has only released four songs, but their sound is unmistakably unique. Obedear's spacey note patterns and vocals lend to a very futuristic sound. Enjoy.
