What's better than a complete album of jazzy instrumentals on a rainy day? Very few things. That's why I love UK producer Vanilla. I first heard about Vanilla when German production trio Les Loups featured a remix by Vanilla on their Klub der Herzen EP (a fantastic EP, if you have time to check it out). Long story short, Vanilla produces some of the silkiest-smooth beats you'll hear around. Here's what he had to say about his most recent instrumental album For What It's Worth:
'For What It's Worth' is a collection of 20 outtakes and loose instrumentals made over the past year that I felt could use a home. There's a slightly jazzier vibe here than my other stuff but overall there's no real unifying theme. I am working hard on the proper follow up to Soft Focus as well as some other major projects so hopefully 2013 should be an eventful year...
Included are two of my favorites from the album, as well as the remix Vanilla made for Les Loups a few months back. The whole album is downloadable on his Bandcamp, or you can follow the download link below. Enjoy!
